Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and baggage using advanced X-ray technology and manual detection methods
- Enforce TSA security protocols while maintaining professional demeanor under pressure
- Conduct thorough pat-down searches and explosive detection procedures
- Operate complex security equipment and document security incidents accurately
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security incidents
- Provide clear instructions to passengers regarding security procedures
- Maintain strict confidentiality of security operations and sensitive information
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass federal background check and drug screening
- Valid U.S. driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 70+ lbs
- Strong communication skills in English (bilingual Spanish a plus)
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights/weekends/holidays
- No criminal history involving theft, violence, or substance abuse
