Responsibilities
- Passenger and Baggage Screening: Operate advanced imaging technology and X-ray equipment to inspect passengers, carry-on luggage, and cargo for prohibited items while ensuring the privacy and dignity of travelers.
- Security Protocols: Enforce all TSA security directives and regulations to maintain a secure and safe airport environment.
- Customer Service: Assist travelers with disabilities and provide clear, professional communication to ensure a positive travel experience for all passengers.
- Incident Response: Respond immediately and appropriately to security breaches, suspicious activities, and emergency situations.
- Equipment Maintenance: Monitor equipment performance and report malfunctions to ensure operational readiness.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen or national.
- Education: High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate.
- Background Check: Ability to pass a federal background investigation, including fingerprinting and a drug screening.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive motions.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
