Responsibilities
- Screen passengers, carry-on baggage, and cargo in accordance with TSA security directives and protocols.
- Operate advanced X-ray, CT, and trace detection equipment to identify prohibited items.
- Perform thorough physical searches of individuals and property when necessary.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and provide clear, calm instructions to passengers during screening processes.
- Document all screening events and report security breaches or suspicious activity immediately.
- Ensure the cleanliness and functionality of screening lanes and equipment.
- Adhere to strict federal regulations and agency policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or National, or Lawful Permanent Resident Alien.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
- Good visual acuity (correctable vision is acceptable).
- Ability to pass a background investigation, including a criminal history check and credit check.
- Ability to pass a medical screening and drug test.
- Must be willing to work rotating shifts, holidays, weekends, and overtime.
