Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on baggage using advanced screening technology and X-ray machines.
- Interact professionally and courteously with the traveling public to maintain a secure and calm environment.
- Operate screening equipment and metal detectors according to strict safety protocols and regulations.
- Conduct random searches and enforce security regulations to identify prohibited items.
- Identify threats or security breaches immediately and report them to supervisors.
- Maintain a high level of physical fitness and alertness during your scheduled shifts.
- Document screening results accurately and maintain a clean work area.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or National, Lawful Permanent Resident, or Lawful Admission as refugee or asylee.
- Pass a background check and security clearance process (TSA Standard Form 85).
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
