Responsibilities
- Screen passengers, carry-on baggage, and cargo using advanced imaging technology and X-ray equipment.
- Conduct physical screenings (pat-downs) to detect prohibited items and ensure security compliance.
- Interact with the traveling public in a professional, courteous, and respectful manner, providing clear and accurate instructions.
- Identify and seize prohibited items while maintaining situational awareness at all times.
- Document all screening activities and security incidents accurately in accordance with federal regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including equipment sanitation and security checkpoints.
- Adhere to all TSA directives, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident.
- Background Check: Must pass a federal background investigation, including fingerprinting, polygraph, and drug screening.
- Availability: Must be available to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and pass a medical fitness exam.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Character: Must possess the highest level of integrity, reliability, and a professional demeanor.
