Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on luggage for prohibited items using advanced X-ray equipment and manual search techniques
- Monitor security checkpoints and enforce TSA regulations with professionalism and tact
- Operate metal detectors, CT scanners, and other security screening technology
- Identify potential security threats and respond appropriately to emergency situations
- Provide excellent customer service to travelers while maintaining security protocols
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate screening records
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel as needed
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screening
- Valid state driver's license
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Basic computer literacy and willingness to learn security systems
