Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray machines and walk-through scanners to detect prohibited items
- Conduct thorough passenger and baggage screenings following TSA protocols
- Provide clear instructions to travelers during security procedures
- Maintain detailed documentation of security incidents and screening activities
- Collaborate with law enforcement during security breaches or suspicious activities
- Ensure compliance with TSA Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Deliver professional customer service while enforcing security regulations
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- Valid state driver's license or government-issued ID
- Ability to pass background investigation and drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Basic computer proficiency for documentation systems
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
