Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and baggage using advanced X-ray machines and metal detectors
- Conduct thorough pat-down searches and bag inspections following TSA protocols
- Monitor security checkpoints and identify potential threats
- Operate electronic screening equipment and document security incidents
- Provide excellent customer service to travelers during screening processes
- Maintain accurate records of security activities and suspicious items
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship or legal permanent resident status
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Basic computer literacy and willingness to learn security systems
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong attention to detail and observation skills
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights/weekends
- Pass TSA Transportation Security Officer (TSO) certification
