Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on baggage using X-ray machines and metal detectors
- Conduct pat-down searches and baggage inspections as required by security protocols
- Monitor security checkpoints and report suspicious activities to supervisory staff
- Operate advanced imaging technology and explosive detection systems
- Provide excellent customer service while maintaining firm security standards
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate operational records
- Collaborate with law enforcement during emergency situations
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship (mandatory requirement)
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background investigation and drug screening
- Flexible availability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 70 pounds
- Basic computer literacy and proficiency with security equipment
- Strong communication skills in English
- Ability to obtain and maintain TSA security clearance
