Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and baggage for weapons, explosives, and prohibited items using X-ray machines and walk-through detectors
- Conduct thorough physical searches and pat-downs as required by security protocols
- Operate advanced imaging technology and identify potential threats through visual inspection
- Maintain strict adherence to TSA Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and security directives
- Provide excellent customer service while enforcing security regulations with professionalism
- Document security incidents and suspicious activities using TSA reporting systems
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel to address security concerns
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship (required)
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screening
- Valid state driver's license (if applicable to role requirements)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Basic computer literacy and ability to learn security technology systems
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
