Responsibilities
- Operate advanced X-ray screening equipment to inspect carry-on and checked baggage for prohibited items.
- Screen passengers and their property using metal detectors, body scanners, and advanced imaging technology.
- Identify, isolate, and resolve security threats in a calm, professional, and assertive manner.
- Assist travelers with special needs, providing clear instructions and ensuring a smooth, dignified screening process.
- Enforce TSA regulations and security protocols consistently and fairly in a fast-paced environment.
- Document all screening activities and report suspicious behavior or incidents immediately to supervisors.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor while standing for extended periods.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or National.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to pass a mandatory drug test and extensive background investigation (including fingerprinting).
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical examination, including vision and hearing tests.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
