Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and their carry-on baggage for prohibited items using X-ray machines and metal detectors
- Conduct thorough pat-down searches and baggage inspections as required
- Operate advanced imaging technology and other screening equipment
- Communicate effectively with passengers to provide instructions and resolve issues
- Document security incidents and report suspicious activities
- Work in a fast-paced environment while adhering to strict security protocols
- Collaborate with other security team members to maintain a secure environment
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship is required
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screening
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Transportation Security Clearance (TSA)
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 70 pounds
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently
- Must pass a medical examination and meet physical requirements
