Responsibilities
- Conduct advanced passenger and baggage screening using X-ray machines, metal detectors, and CT scanners
- Perform thorough pat-down searches and explosive trace detection procedures
- Monitor security checkpoints to detect prohibited items and suspicious behavior
- Maintain accurate documentation of screening incidents and security breaches
- Provide clear instructions to travelers during security screening processes
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security incidents
- Enforce TSA regulations while maintaining professional customer service standards
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- Ability to obtain and maintain a TSA security clearance
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Basic computer skills for documentation systems
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong attention to detail and situational awareness
