Responsibilities
- Screen passengers, baggage, and cargo using X-ray machines and manual detection methods
- Conduct thorough pat-down searches and walk-through metal detector screenings
- Monitor security checkpoints and identify potential security threats
- Enforce TSA regulations and security protocols at all times
- Provide excellent customer service to travelers during screening processes
- Operate and maintain security equipment including X-ray scanners and trace detectors
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security operations
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- Must pass background investigation and drug screening
- Ability to stand for extended periods in a high-security environment
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with diverse populations
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Valid government-issued photo identification
