Responsibilities
- Conduct security screenings of passengers, carry-on baggage, and checked baggage using X-ray machines and metal detectors.
- Patrol security checkpoints and terminal areas to identify and prevent potential security breaches.
- Enforce security regulations and procedures in a professional, calm, and courteous manner.
- Operate and monitor advanced imaging technology and explosive trace detection equipment.
- Communicate effectively with passengers, providing clear instructions and assistance during the screening process.
- Remain vigilant and alert to suspicious behavior or items that may pose a security risk.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.
- Ability to pass a federal background investigation and obtain a security clearance.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8-10 hours per shift).
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to remain focused in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse range of individuals.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
