Responsibilities
- Passenger Screening: Operate X-ray screening equipment to identify prohibited items in carry-on luggage and on passengers.
- Baggage Inspection: Conduct thorough inspections of checked and carry-on baggage to ensure compliance with security regulations.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with travelers, providing clear instructions and assistance during the screening process.
- Threat Detection: Monitor screening lanes and detect any suspicious behavior or potential security threats.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine checks and cleaning of screening equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
- Protocol Adherence: Strictly follow all TSA Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen or a national.
- Education: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Background Check: Must be able to pass a background check and security clearance.
- Medical Standards: Must pass a medical examination and meet vision and hearing requirements.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand, walk, and lift objects for extended periods.
- No Felonies: No felony convictions within the last 7 years.
