Responsibilities
- Screen passengers, carry-on baggage, and cargo for prohibited items using X-ray machines and advanced imaging technology.
- Enforce security regulations and procedures to maintain a secure environment at the airport.
- Interact professionally and courteously with travelers, providing clear instructions and assistance.
- Identify potential security threats and respond effectively to security incidents.
- Complete accurate daily screening logs and incident reports.
- Participate in continuous training to master new screening technologies and protocols.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or National, or a Lawful Permanent Resident.
- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) certificate.
- Ability to pass a standard medical examination and drug screening.
- Ability to pass a federal background investigation and security clearance process.
- Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, including holidays, weekends, and nights.
