Responsibilities
- Perform rigorous screening of passengers, carry-on baggage, and cargo using X-ray machines and advanced imaging technology.
- Enforce security directives and protocols to prevent prohibited items from entering secure areas.
- Identify potential threats and respond appropriately to security breaches or emergencies.
- Communicate effectively with passengers to explain screening procedures and resolve conflicts with patience and professionalism.
- Maintain a high level of situational awareness and adhere to strict safety regulations at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure an efficient flow of passengers and luggage through checkpoints.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship and the ability to pass a thorough background investigation, including fingerprinting.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull items weighing up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- No disqualifying criminal history or drug abuse issues.
