Responsibilities
- Screen passengers, carry-on baggage, and cargo using X-ray screening equipment and physical pat-downs.
- Identify and intercept prohibited items, including weapons, explosives, and other threats.
- Operate screening equipment accurately and efficiently to ensure the safety of the facility.
- Communicate clearly with passengers to resolve issues and explain security procedures.
- Adhere to strict security protocols, laws, and regulations at all times.
- Provide exceptional customer service to ensure a positive travel experience for all passengers.
- Complete mandatory training and maintain certifications as required by federal guidelines.
Qualifications
- Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.
- Background Check: Must be able to pass a criminal history background check, drug screening, and medical examination.
- Education: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Availability: Willingness to work rotating shifts, including weekends, holidays, and nights.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to remain calm under pressure, and excellent communication skills.
