Responsibilities
- Screen passengers, luggage, and cargo to detect prohibited items and potential threats.
- Operate X-ray machines and other advanced screening equipment to analyze images and identify security risks.
- Conduct thorough pat-downs and physical searches of passengers and belongings as required.
- Enforce security regulations and security directives in a professional and courteous manner.
- Assist passengers with special needs and provide exceptional customer service in high-pressure environments.
- Coordinate with law enforcement agencies and federal partners as necessary.
Qualifications
- United States citizenship is required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is mandatory.
- Ability to pass a medical examination and a federal background check (no felony convictions).
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift heavy baggage.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
