Responsibilities
- Screening Operations: Operate X-ray machines and CT scanners to inspect carry-on and checked luggage for prohibited items and security threats.
- Pat-Downs and Searches: Perform physical pat-downs and bag checks on passengers and property in compliance with TSA screening protocols.
- Passenger Assistance: Communicate clearly with travelers to ensure efficient flow through screening lanes while maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor.
- Threat Identification: Utilize advanced technology and keen observation skills to identify potential hazards or suspicious behavior.
- Documentation: Complete necessary paperwork, logs, and reports accurately and in a timely manner.
- Emergency Response: Assist in emergency response procedures and drills as required by security regulations.
Qualifications
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen or national.
- Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Background Check: Ability to pass a Federal background investigation, including fingerprinting, and a drug screening.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand for long periods, lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), and perform repetitive motions.
- Vision: Excellent near and distance vision; color perception is required.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work in a team environment.
