Responsibilities
- Perform screening of passengers, carry-on luggage, and checked baggage using advanced imaging technology and X-ray equipment.
- Enforce security regulations, laws, and procedures to prevent prohibited items from entering the secure area.
- Interact professionally and courteously with the traveling public, including individuals with disabilities and diverse backgrounds.
- Monitor security checkpoints for suspicious activities and report anomalies to supervisors immediately.
- Operate and maintain security screening equipment, ensuring it is functioning correctly and calibrated properly.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure checkpoint operations run smoothly and efficiently during peak travel times.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Must be able to pass a background investigation, including fingerprinting and a drug screening.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English fluently.
- Must be willing to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift and carry up to 25 pounds unassisted.
