Responsibilities
- Screen passengers, carry-on baggage, and cargo for prohibited items and security threats using X-ray screening equipment and metal detectors.
- Operate advanced security technology and systems accurately and efficiently.
- Enforce TSA security regulations and procedures in a professional, firm, and courteous manner.
- Provide exceptional customer service to travelers, answering questions and resolving concerns to ensure a smooth travel experience.
- Assist travelers with disabilities and special needs, ensuring accessibility and dignity during the screening process.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain high throughput and operational efficiency during peak travel times.
- Participate in continuous training to stay updated on evolving security protocols and technology.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship and the ability to pass a background investigation, including fingerprinting and a drug test.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) or higher.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive physical tasks, including bending, lifting, and reaching.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to distinguish between similar objects on X-ray monitors.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
