Responsibilities
- Screen passengers, carry-on baggage, and cargo for prohibited items and explosives.
- Operate X-ray screening equipment and walk-through metal detectors with high accuracy and speed.
- Verify the identity and authorization of passengers against valid travel documents.
- Conduct random and targeted screenings to ensure compliance with security protocols.
- Handle irregularities, security breaches, or unattended items according to established emergency procedures.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and clear communication while interacting with the public in a high-volume environment.
- Adhere to all TSA directives, regulations, and safety guidelines at all times.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or National.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Minimum of a high school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
- Pass a comprehensive background check, drug screen, and medical evaluation.
- Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
