Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on baggage using X-ray machines and metal detectors
- Conduct thorough pat-down searches and advanced imaging technology scans
- Identify and report potential security threats according to TSA protocols
- Monitor security checkpoints and maintain orderly passenger flow
- Operate communication systems and coordinate with law enforcement when necessary
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate records
- Provide excellent customer service while enforcing security regulations
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Pass comprehensive background check and drug screening
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn security technologies
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Fluency in English (Spanish bilingual preferred for El Paso market)
- No felony convictions or disqualifying employment history
