Responsibilities
- Screen passengers, carry-on baggage, and cargo in compliance with TSA regulations and security protocols.
- Operate X-ray screening machines and imaging equipment to detect prohibited items.
- Conduct thorough bag searches and, when necessary, physical pat-downs of passengers.
- Identify and intercept dangerous items, explosives, and weapons before they reach the aircraft or secure areas.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and communicate effectively with travelers and supervisors, especially during high-volume periods.
- Adhere to strict chain-of-custody procedures and maintain a secure screening environment.
- Complete required training and stay updated on evolving security threats and procedures.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) is required.
- No felony convictions within the past 7 years.
- Ability to pass a mandatory background check, drug screen, and medical examination.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds for extended periods.
- Basic computer literacy and the ability to pass a typing test (if applicable).
