Responsibilities
- Conduct Comprehensive Screening: Operate advanced X-ray and CT imaging technology to screen passengers, carry-on baggage, and cargo for prohibited items.
- Enforce Security Protocols: Strictly adhere to and enforce TSA security regulations, laws, and policies to maintain a secure environment.
- Passenger Assistance: Provide exceptional customer service to travelers, including assisting passengers with special needs and answering inquiries professionally.
- Equipment Maintenance: Monitor and report equipment malfunctions and perform basic maintenance on screening equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
- Threat Detection: Visually inspect and physically inspect baggage and passengers to identify potential threats or prohibited items.
- Collaborative Teamwork: Work closely with fellow screeners and supervisors to ensure checkpoint operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Qualifications
- Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship is mandatory for all positions.
- Background Check: Ability to pass a comprehensive background investigation and drug screening.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Visual Acuity: Good near and far vision with the ability to distinguish colors.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
