Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on baggage at airport security checkpoints using advanced X-ray technology and metal detectors
- Conduct thorough pat-down searches and explosive trace detection when required
- Verify travel documents and boarding passes for all passengers
- Monitor security checkpoints to detect suspicious behavior or prohibited items
- Maintain accurate logs of security incidents and screening activities
- Respond to emergency situations following TSA protocols and procedures
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security incidents
Qualifications
- US citizenship or permanent resident status
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screening
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
- Willingness to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
