Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on baggage using advanced X-ray machines and metal detectors.
- Conduct thorough searches of individuals and property to prevent prohibited items from entering secure areas.
- Enforce security regulations and policies to maintain a safe and secure travel environment.
- Operate screening equipment and resolve alarms through pat-downs and bag inspections.
- Document any irregularities or security breaches immediately and report to supervisors.
- Assist travelers with accessibility needs to ensure dignified and secure screening.
- Maintain a professional demeanor while interacting with the public in high-pressure situations.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid U.S. Passport or Birth Certificate.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident (Green Card holder).
- Ability to pass a federal background check, drug screen, and medical exam.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds for extended periods.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to make quick, sound decisions.
