Responsibilities
- Monitor security checkpoints and screening lanes to detect prohibited items and security threats.
- Operate X-ray screening equipment and advanced imaging technology to inspect passenger carry-on bags and cargo.
- Interact professionally and courteously with the traveling public, providing clear instructions and assistance.
- Conduct thorough pat-downs and physical searches of passengers and their belongings when necessary.
- Adhere to all TSA protocols, regulations, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) at all times.
- Maintain a high level of physical fitness and stamina to perform the duties of the role effectively.
Qualifications
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Background Check: Must successfully complete a federal background investigation, including fingerprinting and drug screening.
- Education: High School diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate.
- Age: Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and pass a medical examination.
- Availability: Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
