Responsibilities
- Screen passengers, property, and carry-on baggage for weapons, explosives, and other prohibited items using X-ray machines and CT scanners.
- Conduct physical pat-down searches of passengers and personal items when automated screening indicates a potential threat.
- Monitor surveillance equipment to detect suspicious behavior and potential security breaches.
- Maintain a high level of vigilance while standing for extended periods and operating scanning equipment.
- Document all screening activities, incidents, and exceptions accurately in accordance with security protocols.
- Provide clear, professional instructions to travelers to ensure the smooth flow of the security checkpoint.
Qualifications
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. National.
- Age: Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Background Check: Must pass a background investigation, drug screen, and medical exam.
- Availability: Ability to work varying shifts, including weekends, holidays, and early mornings.
- Physical: Must be able to stand, walk, and lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds as needed.
