Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on luggage for prohibited items using X-ray machines and manual inspection techniques
- Operate advanced security technology including CT scanners and explosive detection systems
- Conduct thorough physical pat-downs and baggage searches when necessary
- Provide excellent customer service while enforcing TSA security protocols
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security breaches
- Stay updated on TSA regulations and security procedures through continuous training
Qualifications
- US Citizenship or legal permanent residency status
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
- Pass background investigation and drug screening
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
