Responsibilities
- Operate advanced screening technologies (X-ray, CT scanners) to detect prohibited items
- Conduct thorough passenger and baggage inspections following TSA protocols
- Enforce security regulations with professionalism and cultural sensitivity
- Respond to security incidents and escalate concerns to supervisors
- Maintain accurate documentation and screening logs
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during emergencies
- Participate in continuous training to stay updated on security procedures
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Pass extensive background check and drug screening
- Ability to obtain and maintain TSA security clearance
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours)
- Strong communication skills in English (Spanish fluency a plus)
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
