Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray machines and walk-through metal detectors to screen passengers and baggage
- Conduct physical pat-downs and bag inspections as required by security protocols
- Verify travel documents and identification for all passengers
- Monitor security checkpoints to detect suspicious items or behavior
- Provide excellent customer service while maintaining strict security standards
- Enforce TSA regulations and security procedures consistently
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport staff during security incidents
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass a federal background check and drug screening
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Basic computer literacy and proficiency with screening technology
