Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and baggage for prohibited items using advanced X-ray technology and manual search techniques
- Operate TSA detection equipment including metal detectors, trace detectors, and CT scanners
- Conduct thorough pat-down searches and baggage inspections following TSA protocols
- Provide exceptional customer service while enforcing security regulations
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate screening records
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security breaches
- Participate in continuous training to maintain certification standards
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship or legal resident status
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass extensive background check and drug screening
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Valid U.S. driver's license (if applicable for airport access)
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Pass TSA's Security Screening Test (training provided)
