Responsibilities
- Screen passengers, carry-on luggage, and cargo using X-ray machines, metal detectors, and advanced imaging technology
- Conduct thorough pat-down searches and baggage inspections to detect prohibited items
- Maintain security checkpoints while adhering to TSA protocols and SOPs
- Respond to security breaches and emergency situations with calm professionalism
- Interact professionally with diverse travelers while providing excellent customer service
- Complete detailed documentation of security incidents and screening activities
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security operations
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screening
- Valid state driver's license (if operating airport vehicles)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Proficient in English with clear communication skills
- Basic computer literacy for reporting systems
