Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray machines and walk-through metal detectors to screen passengers and carry-on luggage
- Conduct physical pat-down searches and baggage inspections following TSA protocols
- Verify travel documents and boarding passes against passenger manifests
- Identify and report potential security threats or prohibited items
- Maintain accurate screening logs and incident reports
- Provide customer service guidance to travelers during security procedures
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security incidents
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Pass TSA background investigation and security clearance
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Basic computer literacy for document verification systems
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Clear communication skills in English (bilingual a plus)
