Responsibilities
- Screen passengers, baggage, and cargo using X-ray machines, metal detectors, and advanced imaging technology
- Conduct thorough pat-down searches and baggage inspections for prohibited items
- Monitor security checkpoints and enforce TSA regulations with professionalism
- Respond to security incidents and coordinate with law enforcement as needed
- Provide clear instructions to travelers regarding security procedures
- Maintain accurate documentation of screening activities and security breaches
- Operate and troubleshoot complex security equipment
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship or legal residency status
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screening
- Strong communication skills in English (verbal/written)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Basic computer proficiency for security systems
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Pass TSA Transportation Security Screening Test (TST)
