Responsibilities
- Operate advanced X-ray screening equipment to detect prohibited items in carry-on and checked baggage.
- Perform physical passenger screenings, including pat-downs and metal detector operations, ensuring compliance with TSA standards.
- Provide excellent customer service to travelers by explaining screening procedures courteously and professionally.
- Adhere to strict security protocols, regulations, and agency policies at all times.
- Document all screening findings accurately and report any security anomalies or threats immediately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe screening checkpoint environment.
- Work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
Qualifications
- Must be a United States Citizen.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Ability to pass a medical examination, including drug screening, and obtain a security clearance.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods (up to 8-10 hours).
- No disqualifying criminal history or immigration status issues.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to remain calm under stressful situations.
- Effective communication skills to interact with diverse populations.
