Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and property using advanced imaging technology, X-ray machines, and metal detectors.
- Conduct thorough searches of carry-on and checked baggage to detect prohibited items and security threats.
- Perform thorough pat-downs and physical searches of passengers when necessary, following strict protocols.
- Monitor security checkpoints to ensure compliance with TSA regulations and airport procedures.
- Document and report any suspicious behavior, unattended baggage, or security breaches immediately.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and communicate effectively with passengers to ensure a positive travel experience.
- Work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays to cover airport operations.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or national.
- Must be at least 20 years of age.
- Must possess a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent certificate of completion.
- Ability to pass a standard background check, drug screen, and medical examination.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a TSA Security Threat Assessment (Tier 5) clearance.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment fitness for duty test.
- Ability to perform standing for extended periods and lift or carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
