Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray machines, metal detectors, and other security screening equipment
- Conduct thorough physical and electronic searches of passengers and carry-on baggage
- Verify travel documents and ensure compliance with TSA regulations
- Identify and report potential security threats or suspicious items
- Maintain accurate screening logs and incident reports
- Provide excellent customer service to travelers during the screening process
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel as needed
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn technical systems
- Valid government-issued photo identification
- No felony convictions or disqualifying employment history
