Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray machines and metal detectors to screen passengers and baggage
- Conduct thorough physical searches of persons and carry-on items
- Verify travel documents and boarding passes against manifests
- Identify and report prohibited items according to TSA regulations
- Maintain security checkpoints in compliance with federal standards
- Provide excellent customer service to diverse travelers
- Collaborate with law enforcement during security incidents
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship or legal residency status
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Must be available for rotating shifts (including nights/weekends)
- Strong communication and observation skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 50 lbs
- Basic computer literacy for document verification systems
- Valid California driver's license preferred
