Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and baggage using X-ray machines and walk-through detectors
- Conduct physical pat-downs and bag searches as required by security protocols
- Operate advanced imaging technology and metal detection equipment
- Verify travel documents and boarding passes against passenger manifests
- Respond to security alerts and emergency situations per TSA guidelines
- Maintain detailed logs of security incidents and suspicious activities
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security operations
Qualifications
- US citizenship or legal resident status with valid work authorization
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to pass background investigation and drug screening
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Basic computer literacy and proficiency with security scanning equipment
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Valid Texas driver's license preferred
