Responsibilities
- Operate advanced X-ray screening equipment and walk-through metal detectors to detect prohibited items.
- Perform rigorous screening of passengers, carry-on baggage, and cargo in accordance with TSA regulations.
- Identify and resolve security threats while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor.
- Provide exceptional customer service to travelers, answering questions and assisting with special needs.
- Collaborate with supervisors and fellow officers to ensure smooth airport operations and emergency response.
- Document all screening activities and report any irregularities or safety concerns immediately.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Ability to pass a federal background investigation, drug screening, and medical examination.
- Ability to pass the TSA Pre-Employment Screening test.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
