Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on baggage for prohibited items using X-ray machines and manual inspection techniques
- Conduct thorough pat-down searches when necessary to ensure compliance with security protocols
- Monitor security checkpoints and respond to alarms or suspicious activity
- Operate advanced detection equipment and communicate effectively with team members
- Enforce TSA regulations while maintaining professionalism and customer service
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with law enforcement during emergency situations
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screening
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Proficient in English language (verbal and written)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
- Valid driver's license (if required for position duties)
- Willingness to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
