Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and baggage for prohibited items using X-ray scanners and metal detectors
- Conduct thorough pat-down searches and bag inspections as required
- Operate advanced security technology including CT scanners and trace detection equipment
- Enforce TSA security protocols while maintaining professional passenger interactions
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate screening records
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security alerts
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship or legal resident status
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong communication skills and customer service orientation
- Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 4 hours continuously)
- Basic computer proficiency for documentation systems
