Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough passenger and baggage screening using X-ray machines, metal detectors, and manual search techniques
- Operate advanced security technology and identify prohibited items according to TSA protocols
- Maintain constant vigilance for suspicious activities and report security concerns to supervisors
- Provide excellent customer service while enforcing security procedures with professionalism
- Document security incidents and screening activities accurately in official reports
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security alerts
- Participate in continuous training to stay updated on security threats and procedures
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship is required
- Ability to pass a thorough background check and drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Proficient in English with strong communication skills
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Pass TSA's Security Screening Test and pre-employment assessment
- No felony convictions or serious misdemeanors
