Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on luggage for prohibited items using X-ray machines and manual inspection techniques
- Monitor security checkpoints to detect potential threats and suspicious behavior
- Operate advanced scanning technology and communicate effectively with travelers
- Enforce TSA security protocols while maintaining professional customer service
- Complete incident reports and collaborate with law enforcement when necessary
- Conduct baggage searches and pat-downs following established procedures
- Train on new security technologies and regulatory updates
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship or legal resident status
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Customer service experience preferred
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must be able to obtain and maintain TSA security clearance
