Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray machines and metal detectors to screen passengers and carry-on baggage
- Conduct physical searches of individuals and property as required
- Monitor security checkpoints and respond to potential threats
- Enforce TSA security regulations and procedures
- Communicate effectively with passengers and airport staff
- Document security incidents and operational activities
- Maintain security of sterile areas and access points
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- Must pass background investigation and drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 4 hours)
- Valid U.S. driver's license (if operating airport vehicles)
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and carry up to 35 pounds
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Basic computer proficiency
