Responsibilities
- Conduct patrols and surveillance along international borders to detect and deter illegal entry
- Apprehend and process individuals violating immigration laws
- Operate specialized equipment including surveillance systems and vehicles
- Collaborate with federal agencies for intelligence-led operations
- Respond to emergency situations including medical incidents and rescues
- Maintain detailed reports and evidence for legal proceedings
- Participate in community outreach and public safety initiatives
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and valid driver's license
- Pass medical examination and physical fitness assessment
- Background investigation and polygraph clearance
- Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays
- Spanish language proficiency (written and verbal)
- Minimum 2 years of law enforcement or military experience
- Ability to operate firearms and defensive tactics certification
